Have fun and combine different fruits in your smoothies. Here is a recipe our family loves. I put different fruits in my smoothies depending on what fruits are available and are in season. We have gotten hooked on these smoothies because they are so delicious and give us a boost of energy to start our day off right!

Some of the fruit used in this smoothie can be frozen. You can freeze peeled bananas, pineapple chunks or slices, berries, peaches, mango, pitted cherries and peeled kiwi. Just be sure to store them in an airtight container or plastic bag in the freezer. You can buy frozen berries, pineapple, cherries and mango from some grocery stores if they are not available fresh.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, peeled with seeds removed

  • 1 banana, peeled

  • 1 cup, fresh pineapple chunks

  • ½ cup mixed berries: raspberries, blueberries & blackberries

  • 1 small grapefruit, peeled with seeds removed

  • 1 kiwi, peeled

  • 6 cherries, pitted

Directions

  • Put all of the fruit into a juicer or blender.
  • Blend until there are no more chunks.
  • Serve immediately to get the most nutritional value from your smoothie or store in the refrigerator with an airtight cover.
  • Enjoy!
